Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Autolinky uses to match jobs and send applications, who receives that information, and how to contact us about your data.
Autolinky provides the Android app and auto-linky.com. For privacy questions or requests, contact the Autolinky team through the WhatsApp link on this site. Please include the email address used for your Autolinky account, but do not send your Google password or Gmail app password in a WhatsApp message.
When you sign in with Google or an email code, our authentication provider handles the sign-in and we receive account information such as your email address. We store the profile choices you make, your uploaded CV file and extracted text, skills and experience derived from it, job matches, saved or applied jobs, cover letters, and application status.
If you connect Gmail for email applications, we store your Gmail address, sender details, and an encrypted Google app password. The app password is not returned by the API. We also process the settings you choose for Auto Apply, including match thresholds and sending limits.
The website stores a language preference in your browser. The server may receive ordinary request data such as IP address, browser information, and requested pages. If download measurement is enabled on the server, it may record device type, referral/source, approximate country, and a short daily one-way visitor hash. See Website Storage for details.
We use account and CV data to provide sign-in, build your profile, compare jobs to your experience, prepare cover letters, track applications, and provide support. If you choose email sending or enable Auto Apply, we use your connected Gmail credentials and CV to send eligible applications under your settings. We use technical information to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service and may use aggregated download counts to understand demand.
Where a legal basis is required, core processing is needed to provide the service you request; optional Gmail connection and Auto Apply follow your choices; security and service improvement support our legitimate interests; and some records may be kept to meet legal obligations. You can stop Auto Apply or disconnect Gmail in the app.
Supabase provides authentication, database, and private CV file storage. Google provides sign-in and Gmail delivery when you choose those features. CV text and relevant job information may be sent to an AI provider through the configured service, currently OpenRouter, to analyze a CV or draft a letter; a rules-based or template fallback can be used when AI is unavailable. Employers receive the CV and message only when you manually send an email application or enable Auto Apply for eligible email jobs.
A link, WhatsApp, or company-site application takes you to a separate service with its own practices. WhatsApp processes information you send to us there. GitHub may serve the Android download. The website currently loads fonts from Google. These providers may process data in countries outside yours under their own terms. We do not sell CVs or account information to advertisers.
The Gmail app password is encrypted before it is stored on the server and is used for Gmail SMTP sending. We do not ask for your normal Google password. Disconnecting Gmail in the app deletes the saved mail connection and turns off Auto Apply. You can also revoke the separate app password in your Google account. Messages already sent to employers cannot be recalled by Autolinky.
We keep information while it is needed to run your account, record applications, resolve support issues, or meet legal obligations. Replacing a CV removes the previous stored CV file; deleting a CV removes its stored file and CV record. Application records, messages already sent to employers, and copies held by third parties may remain separately.
We do not claim one fixed retention period for every record. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete account data through the Data Requests page. We may need to verify your identity and retain limited records where law or a valid dispute requires it. Backup copies may take time to expire through normal rotation.
You can change profile settings, stop Auto Apply, disconnect Gmail, delete a CV, and contact us about access or deletion. Rights such as correction, objection, portability, or complaint to a regulator may apply depending on where you live. The service is intended for people able to use a job application service lawfully; if you believe a child provided data, contact us.
We may update this policy as the product or providers change. The updated date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be described on the site or in the app when practical.
